Canada pips the UK in the New York visitor league table and Virgin Atlantic announce a new ‘upper class’ cabin for the rich – it’s this weeks travel news!
With rising unemployment, a double dip recession and a summer of football related disappointment to look forward to, the UK could have done without the news that for the first time the number of British visitors to New York has fell below those from Canada and with it lost its place as New York City’s biggest international market. The dip is being put down to rising air prices, but is expected to recover in the coming years. Enjoy it while it lasts Canada…
If you do decide to visit New York though or any other far-flung destination, you could do a lot worse then travel by Virgin Atlantic, and in particular their stunning Upper Class cabins. If you are lucky enough (or rich enough) to experience you, you would be able to take advantage of the eight foot bar, crystal curtains, gourmet meals and an 87 inch bed. Not bad eh?
