Have you had a good week? At the beginning of the week there were concerns all havoc would break loose at the airports and immigration control when the public sector went on strike on Wednesday. In actual fact, the only issue was Jeremy Clarkson.
Crying over spilt milk?
2 people in Australia are suing airlines after having hot coffee spilt over them during a flight and ending up with sever burns. A woman on a flight from Australia to Bali had hot coffee spilt over her chest, whereas a Canadian man was asleep and was awoken to severe pain in his arm where he woke to find his skin peeling off. Although both passengers were attended to, they are both still in pain and suffering from first and second degree burns.
Sex sells!
Well, it certainly does in Japan. The Japanese sex industry is worth US$30 billion, reportedly. Whatever takes your fancy can apparently be found and, I assume, enjoyed in Japan. With Tokyo being described as “like a dirty old man in a teenager’s body. But one who celebrates his lewd desires with the gusto of an exhibitionist poodle on heat.” (CNNGO.com) I am seeing Japan in a whole new perspective.
High Tea?
British Airways are doing even more to prove to the world they are ‘quintessentially British’ and in true stereotypical form have teamed up with Twinings tea to make tea that will taste better at altitude. There is no news as to whether they will make any attempt to improve the instant coffee rubbish that is currently served. Or not. It appears the Harry Potter Phenomenon has not ended. The success of the Harry Potter Wizarding World in Orland, Florida has prompted a new park to be built in Universal Studios, Hollywood. The park will be up and creating magic by 2015 so start saving now for a trip to California and to discover the Wizarding World of Harry Potter.
