Ibiza is the undeniable party capital of the world. With throngs of pubs, clubs and bars to keep you dancing early into the morning, holidays in Ibiza are a must if you want to immerse yourself the club scene. The 2011 opening parties for Ibiza’s many clubs may have just kicked off in April, but we’ve already set our sights firmly on finding out which clubs are going to be hot stuff in 2012. We’ve hunted high and low to bring you a list of the top five clubs we think are going to be lighting up the White Isle in 2012.

Amnesia
A list of the hottest clubs in Ibiza wouldn’t be completed without mentioning Amnesia. Three time winner of the “Best Global Club” award, Amnesia is home to one of the island’s most famous parties – Cream. The club is a favourite with Ibiza newbies and veterans alike and its popularity has drawn in partiers from all walks of life. Amnesia boasts a stellar line-up and is hosting club favourites Paul van Dyk, Calvin Harris and Laidback Luke in 2011, so we can only imagine what they have in the pipeline for 2012.

Privilege
You’ll find the largest dance floor in the world at Privilege, Ibiza’s biggest club a badge it wears with pride. Former home to Manumission for over a decade, one of the world’s most famous parties, Privilege’s massive floor space plays host to DJ sets, a huge swimming pool and unique erotic and artistic floor shows that are like nothing else shown on the island. With DJ Tiësto is returning to take up residency in the club in 2011 and the club refusing to slow down after Manumission’s departure, we can’t see why they’d stop for 2012.

Pacha
Unarguably Ibiza’s most exclusive and expensive club, Pacha has gone through somewhat of a metamorphosis in the last few years and continues to devote more of its floor space to VIP tables creating a very different experience from most of the other clubs on the island. Seen as the jewel in the crown of Ibiza’s club scene, Pacha attracts the rich and famous to its dance floors and hosts music mega-stars such as David Guetta, Erick Morillo and the Swedish House Mafia, who are back in residence for 2011. From its prime position near the marina in Ibiza Town, Pacha has been seen as the epitome of cool in the Ibiza club scene for years and this doesn’t look set to change for 2012.

DC10
Reopening in 2010 after a two year absence, DC10 has had a lot to prove in convincing clubbers to come back after closing due to licensing issues, but has come back bigger and badder than ever. DC10’s biggest night is still Monday, when it hosts its all day Circo Loco party that runs from Monday morning to the wee hours of Tuesday, Circo Loco is where most revellers start their week (or end their weekend).  2011 looks set to be a big year for the luckless club, bringing in acts like Kerri Chandler and Tania Vulcano, and looks like it will continue to come out swinging in the 2012 season.

Ibiza Rocks Hotel
For those interested in an alternative to Ibiza’s traditional club scene, Ibiza Rocks offers up a bevy of indie and mainstream acts in the comfort of its own branded hotel, based right in the heart of San Antonio. Partiers have been treated to acts such as The Arctic Monkeys, The Prodigy and Florence and the Machine while lounging in the hotel pool or hanging out at the bar. The events are for ticket holders only, so if you’re keen to see any of the bigger acts during the season you would be wise to book early to avoid missing out. 2011’s line up promises more monster acts such as Biffy Clyro, Plan B, Dizzee Rascal and  Tinie Tempah and with the acts only getting bigger and better every year there’s no reason to not expect 2012 to be breath-taking.
