D is for Dining Out – Dramatic and likely to be a little messy, meals out are a fun part of a family holiday.
E is for Expectations – Leave home without high expectations and you’ll have a much better time!
F is for Family Photos – Ask a passer-by to take some photos of you all together and captures the memories!
G is for Good Guidebook – The ideal resource for cheap eats and unmissable attractions.
H is for Hotel- Try to book a family room, then sit back, relax and enjoy.
I is for Ice Cream – No explanation necessary!
J is for Journey –Prepare for the journey there and bring some things to do so your kids don’t scream the plane down!
K is for Kids Club – A life saver for many woebegone parents, particularly towards the end of your trip. Worth considering!
L is for Landscape – Despite the hustle and bustle, ensure you all take 5 minutes and appreciate your surroundings!
M is for Maintenance – Check your hire car thoroughly before you drive off. One of the most essential 10 minutes of your trip!
N is for Nodding Off – When the kids are off having fun, relish the opportunity and sneak 40 winks next to the pool.
O is for Off Peak – A rule of thumb for many, try to travel off peak where you can and enjoy the cash back!
P is for Passport – Because you won’t be going anywhere without it!
Q is for Queues – Queues are a part of life, and unfortunately likely to be part of your holiday. Best to face the facts now and keep your cool when you arrive.
R is for Research – The only way to start your holiday.
S is for Sunglasses & Sunscreen – It’s a well-known fact; everyone loves to throw on a pair of sunglasses, they’re just cool and sunscreen is smart.
T is for Tent – Definitely worth considering for the likes of Southern France and across Spain. Great memories guaranteed and much more wallet friendly than a hotel for the whole brood!
U is for Umbrella – Because you never know when you might need it!
V is for Vouchers – Save some cash and keep your eyes peeled for 2 for 1 entry or money off vouchers! They often lurk on the reverse of supermarkets receipts.
W is for Wine – Likely to be the parents’ tonic of choice come the end of the day.
X is for Xylophone – An essential for any family holiday, plus I couldn’t think of anything else!
Y is for Yacht – Just in case you fancy a family holiday in the likes of Monaco!
Z is for Zero Cost – Some of the best things in life are free so be sure not to forget the fun family activities that won’t cost you a penny…swimming, walking, building sandcastles, flying a kite…
