to our newsletter and be the first to know about the BEST TRAVEL DEALS!
There are literally thousands of travel blogs out there in web land. Most are average, some are great, a few top notch. But no matter how great your travel tales are, if you have an interesting, unusual or unique travel blog name, it can really help draw attention to yourself in a crowded sphere. Here at Beat the Brochure we do not judge a blog by its cover, but it we did, who would we be drawn to?
Man on the Lam (@manonthelam1)
I am going to be honest with you all. For a good while I read this a ‘Man on the Lamb.’ Was I disappointed when I realised it was Man on the Lam? Yes, but it is still a great blog name. According to Raymond (the man), the phrase means man on the run. Fun and educational equals a great blog name in my eyes.
Beer and Beans (@BeersandBeans)
This exceptionally popular blog is run by the lovely Beth and Randy, who class themselves as Beer (Randy) and Beans (Beth). A perfect combination, which as my travel mates will tell you I had on more then one occasion on my travels.
Crazy Sexy Fun Traveller (@Sexyfuntraveler)
This is a no brainer really. If I had to describe someone who I would want to meet on my travels, it would be a crazy, sexy fun person. So when I came across this blog I was a) delighted such a person exists, and b) gutted I never got to meet them. A fun blog with crazy, sexy fun traveller Alexandra’s fingerprints all over the place.
Adventures of a Good Man (@GregGoodman)
If this blog was a varnish, it would be Ronseal – it does exactly what it says on the tin. A good man by the name of Greg shares his adventures with us all. How do we know Greg is a good man? We don’t, but it says it on his blog, so it must be true, right?
Brendan’s Adventures (@Brendanvanson)
OK so it may not be the most original blog name, but having your own name in the title can be a big help. There is nothing worse then scanning several pages of a blog trying to find out the name of the person who it actually belongs to. No such problems with Brendan’s blog. Have a gold star.
Tourist2Townie (@tourist2townie)
Most travellers have a fear of becoming a local. No such qualms from Gareth, who is proud of the fact he left home to become a local down in Argentina. With his transformation from a tourist to a townie complete, he seems pretty happy with himself. And so he should be.
Is there a travel blog whose title makes you chuckle or that you simply love? Let us know by leaving your suggestions below!

Do love “Man on the Lam” and “Beers and Beans”…and to throw in a little shameless promotion, “No Onions Extra Pickles” is the name of my travel blog

I don’t think these are that incredible. Definitely not “best named”. Definitely no ‘Anglo Adventure.” (ha – j/k).
Man on the Lam is my favorite out of the bunch.

Some great names here… not dissin’ ‘em, but, as per the other comments, I can think of a lot of other contenders! What about “Nerds Eye View” (quirky)? “The Most Alive” (inspiring)? “Camels and Chocolate” (intriguing)? “Epic Potato” (weird)? This is just from me doing a surface scan of my twitter feed and bookmarks…

Thanks for the comments peeps. Maddy – they are some great blog names, but I have not come across some of them so they missed the cut! If anyone else has any more recommendations let me know and maybe I will do a follow up list!

I agree with your opening, we all know the large travel blogs, but, so many niche travel sites are overlooked. It is great to see you highlighting a handful of your favourites, given I believe that most of these niche travel sites are a better read than some of the ‘canned’ efforts by some, but not all, of the larger sites. I think more website owners should include a section of their favourite blogs and/or travel sites.
