Cheap holidays to Egypt are perfect for a family vacation to remember and Sharm El Sheikh is a great place for kids. Not only is the Red Sea and the golden sand beach right on your doorstep, there are plenty of Sharm El Sheikh attractions for kids to keep them busy and smiling throughout your holiday.
1. – Cairo Tour to see the Pyramids.
Every child learns about the ancient Egyptians during their early school years so why not turn the theory into reality with an excursion to visit the iconic Pyramids and see for yourselves exactly how much they have learnt!
2. – Cleo Park.
A trip to a waterpark during your Sharm El Sheikh holiday is simply a must-do if you have kids with you. It’s just pure and simple fun and parents still get to laze in the sun whilst the kids use up all their energy running from slide to slide.
3. – Glass Bottom Boat Trip.
If your kids aren’t old enough to snorkel out into the Red Sea or perhaps they aren’t too sure about what to expect, take them on a glass bottom boat trip to explore the vibrant coral and marine life underneath. This is an inexpensive and great way to introduce the wonders of sea life to them and before you know it they will desperate to jump on in and make friends with whatever is underneath the surface.
4. – Sunrise/Sunset Quad-Biking trip.
Experience not required, although probably better for older kids. A trip into the desert via 4 wheels to witness a spectacular sunrise/sunset and stargaze into oblivion. Definitely a Sharm El Sheikh trip the kids will remember forever.
5. – SOHO Square.
SOHO Square is a popular evening entertainment joint for all the family and a great place to entertain the kids during the evening, if you haven’t worn them out during the day. With plenty of dining options available, try the bowling alley, ice rink, kids arcade or the Culturama (cinema screen showing the history of ancient Egypt).
So have a fantastic holiday in Sharm El Sheikh and if you have tried out any of these things to do with kids in Sharm El Sheikh then let us know what you thought!
Olly started off his travels many years ago as a free-spirited young man and is now well and truly settled in to family life in which he makes it his duty to enforce family holiday fun upon the rest of his tribe. His favourite song is 'Come on Ilene' and he can be found singing it in Los Cristianos most years.
