Whilst for many the jury is still out in regards to Google Plus, as each day goes by more and more people, bloggers and brands are migrating to the social platform as its importance seems to grow.
Whilst to some it can still seem a little bit bare and empty, if you know where look there are some great pages to explore. Try some of these to get you started:
Anyone who is interested in travel and travel blogging will know who Paul Steele is. He has almost unrivalled influence and is a thoroughly nice bloke to boot. So it only makes sense to follow him on Google Plus in order to catch up on all his latest news, photos and stories in case you missed them on Twitter!
Lauren, probably more widely known as the owner and blogger of the site Never Ending Footsteps, is one of the more entertaining bloggers out there. When she is not being attacked by monkeys and hitting Chinese scammers in the face, she is updating her Google+ page with all sorts of interesting information, as well as some killer photos. Check it out if you like bright and fun stuff in your eyeholes.
Melvin is a dude who travels and for some reason is called Traveldudes. With followers in the thousand he has successfully managed to master the hard bit of Google Plus – getting people engaged and following you. If you are new to the platform we suggest you take some pointers from this dude.
My Destination always has something to say and with their various offshoots of destinations all having + pages it is easy to find what you are looking for. Interviews, photos, quality content and lots more going on as always so check them out!
What? Did you think we would leave ourselves off our own list when we have spent some much time trying to make our page look engaging and interesting? You would all do the same. Probably…

Olly started off his travels many years ago as a free-spirited young man and is now well and truly settled in to family life in which he makes it his duty to enforce family holiday fun upon the rest of his tribe. His favourite song is 'Come on Ilene' and he can be found singing it in Los Cristianos most years.
